Implant Maintenance

Tepe.jpg

Whether you have a single or multiple implant-retained superstructure, regular maintenance is very important. Implants, although, they look and feel like natural teeth, they are not teeth, and if they get infected they do not always show any signs until it’s too late.

Look after your implants by doing correct flossing and brushing techniques. We stock a wide range of interdental brushes that are designed specially to be used on implants.

Most abnormalities are detected by dental professionals by doing regular periodontal probing around the implants and taking x-rays.

However, if the gum around the implant is red, swollen, bleeding, or sore, or the implant itself is moving then it is advisable to seek dental advice as soon as possible.
